Overview
Model UMW & UMK series, are designed under micro base, and it also designed for general performance measuring active & reactive power,
accepts ac voltage & current signals with conversion to use a time division multiplier principle of an accurate detection the
measured input power. The conversional process adopts pulse width modulation for voltage input & amplitude chopping modulation for
current input to form a happed current pulse which as a multiplying function of instant variables for input voltage & current.
The integration of the instantaneous sample-conversion applied to UMW series as real power detection is able to measure a distorted
sinusoidal wave with high harmonics even for a chopped SCR-controlled waveform. The unit series include of the ratio input type &
direct input type, the former defined to accept the secondary signal from CT & PT & to scale to primary reading display, the later
calibrated to a reading to follow input. The designed specification, truly a real power system configuration, compliant ANSI-IEEE &
DIN-IEC, VDE those standards with full protection for surge intrusion & accident input over to assure reliable operation.
The unit basically is 4-1/2 digits design, under an effective limitation for different phases & wires system the maximum defined
reading ranges as following :
- UMW_X, UMK_X ----- 1 phase 2 wires system
- UMW_Y, UMK_Y ----- 3 phase 3 wires system
- UMW_Z, UMK_Z ----- 3 phase 4 wires system
The ratio setting for PT & CT ratio of a digital type, first 3 effective unit selections, fits over 99% application in all system.
With proper unit annunciate & decimal selection, the unit can get a required primary reading without any recalibration process.
