 FTU-2000 (Feeder Terminal Unit) is the data terminal equipment of feeder which is based on microprocessor.
FTU-2000 can be used on monitoring the note status of the feeder circuit in the feeder automation construction. The main purpose of the FTU-2000 is to collect analog and digital data and coordinate them. After FTU-2000 analyzes these data and receiving Scan command by the FRTU, it will send all data to FRTU.  FTU-2000 can not only send event data automatically, but also accept and receive the control command from control center which is for "Check-Before-Execution" on Field devices to assure the validity and safety of control system. FTU-2000 is equipped the function, fault current detection which it will automatically send the fault indicator flag to SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) when on-site equipments are broke down. SCADA system collects every note status of the FTU and therefore SCADA is able to monitor all feeders network providing monitoring automation effectively.

  • FTU-2000 can divided into three units for hardware, they are Monitor and Control Unit  (including meaurement), Power Unit and communication Unit.
  • Monitor and Control Unit of FTU-2000 uses DTU-2300, it is designed with 32 bits microprocessor technology. Hardware configuration uses plug-in modular design with 6U rack for maintenance easily.
  • The AC power measurement interface of FTU-2000 uses AC card, it can measure voltage and current signal of  automatic switch; it has function of fault current detection and direction simultaneously. FTU-2000 also provides CT  short circuit switch as a equipment for protection CT circuit open circuit.
  • Power Unit of FTU-2000 is not only provides power for itself in well operation and  battery module charging, FTU-2000 with overhead integrated type also provides power for automatic switch in operation.  The power input for power unit is with wide range from  90 to 260 VAC, 50/60 Hz. If AC input is discontinued, it will switch to battery module for power automatically. When the battery module is under discharge to be 19.5~20VDC, the loading will
  • be cut automatically to prevent over discharge and the advantage is to extend the battery life. Once the AC power is restored, DC power for equipment will output automatically, it is no need to reboot manually.
  • It provides forced discharge function for battery module, once discharge is within two hours and without detection the warning the battery is needed to be replaced, the battery will continously discharg; once voltage of battery is lower 19.5~20V DC, charger will automatically back to normal function to charge. 
  • Communication Unit of FTU-2000 can integrate flexibly with ADSL modem, Fiber-optic communication module, GPRS/3G/4GLTE or VHF wireless communication module etc.., and reserve enough space for installation elastically. 
  • Communication Unit will be fixed in the drawer slide type with tray handle for easily change of module.Hz)
  • Digital Input: It provides 32 x detection points and de-bounce time setting, user can set from 0ms to 250ms randomly.
  • Digital Output: It provides 3 sets control points for field control, contact type of output is pulse output.
  • Analog measurement: It provides current input (3U4I, Ia, Ib, Ic, In) for one feeder.
