EPM7200 可以取代許多傳統的類比或數位儀器單元。電壓、頻率、A、KVA、KW、PF、KWH、KVarH等參數可透過儀表正面的通訊端子設定顯示。 （注意測量週期的參考電壓頻率，如果不輸入電壓，將使用標稱頻率進行計算。）這樣可以節省接線材料的使用，降低測量需求的成本。
